About This Role The Per Diem Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Highlights Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit: SICU Gi-CC - MSH Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift Pay: $85.9387/hour What You'll Do Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care. Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management. Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. Prioritize all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care through various patient interactions. Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) RN who is matriculated in a BSN Program with a graduation date within the year Experience: Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice assigned; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process Licenses & Certifications: Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State Basic Life Saver (BLS) certification requiredNRP certification (Labor and Delivery, NICU dept) ACLS certification (in various departments) PALS certification (in various departments) #J-18808-Ljbffr
