Job Category Retail Position Summary The Senior Technician position requires diagnosing drivability and electrical systems while mentoring and leading a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. A sign‑on bonus of $2,000 is available for first‑time hires. Pay is based on a flat‑rate model ranging from $20.60 to $34.15 per hour, reflecting average productivity by region. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑technical customers. Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training. Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities. Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three categories (A1–A8) within the first two years of employment. The company pays test and registration fees and awards a bonus for each test passed. Minimum Qualifications Valid automobile driver’s license at all times, with the ability to drive customer and company vehicles. Demonstrated skill in brakes, hydraulics systems, steering & suspension, and alignments. Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair. Current federal, state, and local certifications/laws where applicable. Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people. Proficient reading, writing, and math skills. Preferred Qualifications At least 3 years of automotive repair experience, with skills demonstrated through third‑party assessments or a completion of a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
