Job Description
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting a small dental team by preparing patients, managing instruments, and assisting during general dentistry procedures. This position involves frequent patient interaction, including education and communication, while utilizing dental software tools such as Fuse Patterson Software - Eaglesoft to enhance appointment scheduling and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments and materials
- Assist dentists chairside during general dentistry treatments
- Manage instrument inventory and reorder supplies as needed
- Schedule patient appointments using dental software (Fuse Patterson - Eaglesoft)
- Support dental procedures to maximize efficiency and patient care
- Provide patient education and answer queries to enhance understanding and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in dental assisting
- Certificate in Dental Assisting
- Knowledge of dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong patient communication and chairside assistance skills
- Expertise in sterilization techniques
- Attention to detail and strong teamwork capabilities
- Effective time management skills
