As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Operations in Jacksonville, FL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, or potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
