Don't miss this amazing opportunity with ALS-LM, to start a new career or build upon skills and experience you currently possess.Job Duties:Adheres to the person centered plans for each consumer.Provides opportunities throughout the day to help consumers to be actively engaged.Provides quality of care and a safe and healthy setting free from harm while upholding the rights of all residents.Cooks meals as necessary for consumers based upon food specifications and diets.Completes required documentation before the end of shift, including, but not limited to progress notes, miscellaneous notes, daily support logs, event reports, incident reports, LOA forms, resident inventories, etc.Responsible for cleanliness of home site according to the assignment chart. (Inspection ready at all times.)Administers medications as needed.Qualifications:Some lifting of wheelchairs and participants. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and physically position individuals (with training). This is an essential job function that may involve up to 20% of scheduled time.Walking, physical exertion, house cleaning, talking, listening calm and positive approach, and good communication skills.Ability to adequately and professionally handle conflict and tension, whether direct or indirect.Must have own vehicle and be able to transport.Must have positive attitude toward participants in program, and co-workers.Must be 18 years oldMust be able to complete required reports and follow written and oral instruction.Must be suitable to meet physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of participants.Must be capable of handling emergency situations.High School Diploma or GED.
