Cloud Infrastructure & Integration Engineer

Salary: $97,087 - 116,922 per year Requirements:

• We need proven experience managing IT infrastructure in cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, OpenStack, or Rackspace.
• We need strong understanding of cloud architecture, including microservices patterns, scalability approaches, virtualization, and container technologies such as VMware and Docker.
• We need practical experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• We need familiarity with cloud database administration for systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• We need scripting proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby for automation work.
• We need solid knowledge of networking concepts including VPNs, VPCs, REST APIs, web services, and identity management solutions.
• We need experience with distributed systems and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or similar technologies.
• We need working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and Windows server administration.
• We need the ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment while maintaining strong attention to detail in hardening and security practices.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, though equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• We need 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, systems integration, DevOps, or a closely related engineering role.
• We need direct production experience with AWS and/or Azure, along with the ability to become productive on the second platform quickly.
• We need experience writing infrastructure as code and building authenticated API and service-to-service integrations end to end, including error handling and idempotency.
• We need working knowledge of identity protocols and IAM concepts such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0, RBAC, and least privilege; experience with providers like Auth0, Okta, Entra ID, or Cognito is a plus.
• We need experience building validated, monitored data pipelines; integration work involving commerce or financial systems with reconciliation and auditability is a plus.
• We need familiarity with modern test-driven and AI-assisted development workflows, including CI/CD, automated testing, Claude Code, and tools such as ClickUp.
• We need experience supporting connectivity for users in mainland China or similarly constrained network environments, which is a plus.
• We need experience integrating or securing LLM and AI service connections in products, including credential management, data-boundary controls, and usage metering, which is a plus.
• We need strong documentation habits, clear written communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

• We build and maintain our cloud environments as version-controlled infrastructure code, including networking, compute, storage, DNS, environment separation, and security controls baked into the modules from the start.
• We design and operate the network foundations that support our systems, including private networking, TLS, controlled ingress and egress, and cross-cloud connectivity.
• We create and run secure integrations between internal systems such as commerce, accounting, payments, support tools, and product services using authenticated service identities, encrypted transport, and managed secrets.
• We implement partner-facing integration endpoints with authentication, rate limiting, payload validation, and logging, coordinating delivery with our revenue organization.
• We implement and operate licensing connectivity across our portfolio, including activation, entitlement, renewal, revocation, offline behavior, and grace periods, aligned to our architecture and metering requirements.
• We own engineering work for connectivity across the mainland China network boundary by measuring real-world performance and failure modes and then delivering resilient, degradation-tolerant solutions.
• We build and operate data pipelines between products, business systems, and reporting targets, with schema validation, reconciliation against source systems, quarantine handling, and traceable lineage for licensing and financial data.
• We implement identity and access for users and workloads, including OIDC/OAuth 2.0 flows, SSO integration, service credentials, token lifecycle management, and least-privilege permissions.
• We secure our AI-related connections and tooling by managing credentials, access scopes, network egress, and logging, while enforcing data-boundary controls for external AI services.
• We publish reusable secure infrastructure patterns and templates so our teams inherit secure defaults, and we document the trade-offs between security and user experience.
• We ensure our systems are observable through logs, metrics, and alerts, and we cover what we build with automated tests in line with our test-first standard.
• We partner closely with the Director of Product & Engineering, the Enterprise Architect, senior engineers, the Engineering Systems Manager, QA, and the IT Systems Engineer to realize designs, support CI quality gates, and align on infrastructure-as-code practices.
