Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, evaluating each patient's needs by considering the interplay between mental health issues and medical conditions. \n
- Develop and implement tailored integrated treatment plans that address both psychiatric and behavioral health needs, coordinating with medical professionals when necessary. \n
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support patient recovery and growth. \n
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety. \n
- Educate patients on the relationship between mental health and physical wellness, empowering them to take an active role in their treatment and management of their health conditions. \n
- Document each patient interaction accurately and securely, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards. \n
- Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care strategies and improve treatment efficacy. \n
- Stay current on industry trends, research, and best practices in mental health and integrated care to enhance service delivery. \n
Our therapist will primarily serve individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, particularly those with co-occurring medical conditions. This includes patients dealing with chronic illness, substance use issues, and other complex health challenges that require an integrated treatment approach. The therapist will work to understand and address the whole person, ensuring a supportive and healing environment.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current and valid licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT in California. \n
- At least three years of professional experience addressing mental health needs in a behavioral health setting, particularly with patients who have co-occurring medical conditions. \n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and multidisciplinary team members. \n
- A thorough understanding of ethical guidelines and the ability to maintain professional boundaries while ensuring confidentiality. \n
- Proficient in computer applications and electronic health record management for maintaining patient documentation and care coordination. \n
Experience with integrated care models and familiarity with community health systems will be advantageous. Candidates who have previously worked with patients facing chronic health challenges or who have a background in crisis management will bring valuable perspectives to our team.
Compensation and Benefits\nThe FAMILY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
