2nd Shift Reach Truck Operator

Position SummaryOperate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.Position Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsObtains copy of Shipping or Receiving schedule for order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facilityLoading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks, containers, trailers or vansMoving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facilityStacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructionsChecking loads are secureStacking empty palletsPerforming daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipmentRemoving machine attachments and waste material from machinesExamining products to verify conformance to quality standardsDumping materials into machine hopperEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentGood math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be requiredHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentFollow instructions for operating equipment and keeping recordsMust have at least 2 years of Electric forklift, Reach-Truck, Stand up and electric pallet jack experienceMaintain a clean & safe environmentMust be able to use Radio Frequency (RF) scanner gunClean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license may be requiredForklift certification per OSHA standards preferred but not requirementExecute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe mannerReach-truck experience RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesApplicants must be able to carry 15 to 50 pounds for short periods and capable of getting onto/off a sit-down forklift.Other physical requirements include walking, standing, bending, lifting for 8 hours.Willingness to follow all safety practices and other compliance requirements as trained.Willing to submit to a background check and drug screeningIn addition to competitive pay, Port Jersey Logistics Network offers a robust benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k)-retirement plan, and paid time off.Port Jersey Logistics Network provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
