Medical Assistant, Full-time, Lady Lake, FL

We're seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dynamic allergy and immunology clinic team. In this role, you will support clinical care teams by gathering detailed patient medical histories, reconciling medications, and accurately updating electronic medical records. This position requires familiarity with general allergy and immunology practices, procedures, and medications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates appropriate technique for obtaining vital signs
• Obtain spirometry and Niox testing on patients
• Competency and knowledge of general allergy practice, procedures, and medications
• Keep exam rooms well stocked and clean
• Communicate effectively with the management team
• Display professionalism in patient interactions
• Document activities in EMR
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• This position may require travel to other clinics

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Previous experience working with patients in a medical setting
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program and Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Understanding of basic medical terminology
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times, stressful environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of EMR system
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods and communicate effectively
• Regular use of hands and arms to write, type, and operate office equipment
• Occasional physical movement, including reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and sensing odors
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and occasional overhead reaching
• Ability to lift and carry moderate weights
