Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months required License: Must obtain appropriate state license prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Required; NIH preferred Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Post cardiac surgery care - Arterial line management - Blood product administration - Central line care and management - PICC line management Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a mixed acuity unit. The nurse must be comfortable working in both PCU and MedSurg settings. This position involves direct care for patients recovering from cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Successful candidates will have experience with various cardiac interventions. Responsibilities include titrating cardiac drips and managing vasoactive medications. Knowledge of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and care of ventilated patients is preferred. Our unit treats a diverse range of patient diagnoses, including cardiovascular, endocrine, and oncology cases. Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential for optimal patient care. Candidates must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs. This position requires working every other weekend and two out of three major holidays.
