# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Virginia**Start Date:** October 12, 2026**Location:** Salem, Virginia**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Four weekend shifts per four-week schedule (days: Saturday/Sunday; nights: Friday/Saturday); 12-hour shifts; unit-based assignment with no facility-wide floating**Highlights:**- Work in a comprehensive Maternity Care Center with 9 LDR rooms, 8 postpartum/GYN beds, 2 OR suites, and 23-bed wellborn nursery- Patient ratios: 3 couplets per nurse for mother-baby; 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin administration, and epidural patients- Full scope of obstetric care including labor and delivery, cesarean sections (circulator, first assist, or scrub), postpartum and newborn care, OB/ED triage, and inductions- Electronic medical records: Centricity Perinatal and Meditech systems; Corometrics fetal monitoring equipment- Supportive team environment with 50+ experienced staff members and dedicated leadership on every shift- Facility-provided scrubs and opportunities for additional shifts available**Requirements:**- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia- Labor and Delivery nursing experience required- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required- Experience with cesarean sections (circulator, first assist, or scrub) preferred- Energetic, self-directed, and collaborative work style**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a well-established maternity care team providing comprehensive obstetric services in a supportive and professional environment.
