Music Department - Social Media Assistant - 26/27

THIS POSITION IS FOR UPPERCLASSMEN ONLY. FRESHMEN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS. Expected hours of work per week : Minimum 15 Work Location & Hours : Chapel 119/ Music Work Study Office/ 9am-4pm, some evenings Work is to be done on campus unless otherwise directed. The office is CL 119, but event support may be throughout the campus.

- Creative problem-solving, sometimes in time-pressure situations
- Experience with Canva or other graphic design software
- Filmography, video editing, photo and sound editing skills are a plus
- Hours are typically 10-15 hours/week
- Produce photo/video for press releases and social media promotion
- Write and distribute PSA's and press releases
- Create artwork for posters, programs, or other promotional needs in collaboration with the Department of Music staff.
- Copywriter for social media content
- Coordinate with the manager to handle the music department's social media accounts and mailing lists
- Coordinate with the manager to handle the music department's event ticketing
- Assist with other written materials for the department, such as the website and concert programs
- Assist with other aspects of concert production if necessary
