RN - Lactation Consultant - Labor and Delivery

The role is for a Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant within the Labor & Delivery team, providing expert lactation care and education to mothers and newborns. Responsibilities include assessing breastfeeding needs, developing individualized feeding plans, and offering hands-on support for breastfeeding and pump use. The nurse collaborates with physicians and the care team to educate patients, families, and staff on evidence-based lactation practices, conducts daily rounds, and advocates for breastfeeding goals. Qualifications required are a Bachelor's degree in Nursing , active RN license (Maryland or Compact), BLS CPR certification , nursing experience, and IBCLC certification .
