Finance Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee transaction classification, general ledger maintenance, and monthly financial statement preparation. Audit payroll, cash receipts, and AP/AR to ensure total accuracy and reconcile financial statements.

• Team Oversight: Lead day-to-day work for the bookkeeping team (including offshore staff). Conduct regular check-ins, monitor reconciliations and 1099 prep, and provide coding and process guidance.

• Payroll & Benefits: Process client payrolls (bi-weekly/semi-monthly) using platforms like Gusto, ADP, or Paychex. Validate timesheets, manage 403(b)/IRA contributions, and support annual Form 5500 filings.

• Client Service & Coordination: Serve as primary client contact, conduct regular check-ins, ensure complete audit-ready documentation, and escalate complex risks to the Controller or CFO.Cross collaborate with internal team to seamlessly support client needs.

• Cross-Functional Support: Assist with ad hoc projects, process improvements, and provide coverage for Finance Manager duties as needed. Qualifications
  ● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  ● Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience
  ● Nonprofit accounting experience required
  ● Experience with QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct
  ● Experience with Gusto, ADP, or Paychex preferred
  ● Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
