Production Scheduler

Production Scheduler (3rd Shift) | Davenport, IA | Onsite We are seeking a Production Scheduler to support manufacturing operations on the 3rd shift . This role is responsible for planning and scheduling complex production processes across multiple work centers, ensuring material availability, maintaining production flow, and supporting schedule attainment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules for manufacturing and service parts.
- Manage material requirements, including Kanban/triggers and production schedule support.
- Expedite production and purchased parts to support manufacturing needs.
- Coordinate required parts and materials with internal departments and stakeholders.
- Support implementation of engineering and material changes.
- Analyze future production requirements and assist in workforce planning strategies to ensure production goals are met.
- Maintain and calculate Kanban quantities to support inventory and production processes.
- Audit inventory integrity and accuracy, including production reporting and scrap reporting.
- Perform administrative duties related to production planning and scheduling.
- Provide work direction, coordination, and potential supervisory support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred, with at least 1 year of scheduling experience.
- Candidates with a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered.
- Experience supporting fabrication, laser cutting, forming, or similar manufacturing operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Intermediate Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems strongly preferred.
- Ability to spend approximately 50% or more of the time on the manufacturing floor and the remainder in an office environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, planners, schedulers, and production teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
