Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

Job TitleJob DescriptionJob RequirementsUnderstand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently.Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace.Requires effective communication skills.Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift up to 100 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill painting and engineering tasks.Job ResponsibilitiesReceive daily work assignments from Director of Engineer and review priorities and special projects.Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.Maintain time lines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.Check work orders and maintenance report for any problems.Make rounds checking these problem areas; note any touch-up needs or/and safety concerns in the hotel.Maintain for the proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools, (i.e. brushes, rollers, paint sprayers, trays, ladders, scaffolds, etc.) and supplies.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areasHandle chemicals according to hotel requirements (OSHA).Ensure security of any assigned keys and beeper.Complete room preventative maintenance for assigned guest rooms.Respond to guest maintenance and service request in a timely and professional manner.Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving and review status of assignments and any follow-up actions with the Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift or carry supplies, equipment or tools weighting up to 100 lbs. occasionally.Carries out supervisor requests in accordance with hotel policies and standard operating procedures.Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.Follow all appropriate policies and procedure while constantly striving to improve all standards of operations.Follow safety and security procedures.Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.Additional cleanliness or guest services duties as assigned by management.Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.Education/ExperienceMinimum 2 years experience in maintenance, facilities or engineering.Hotel experience preferred.Work HoursWill be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.Physical RequirementsThe minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently to assist guestsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversationAbility to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneelAscend and descend a ladderReasonable Accommodation StatementTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
