Job Summary:

The Dental Front Desk professional provides administrative support and excellent customer service to patients. They manage appointments, patient records, insurance information, and ensure the dental office operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner

Schedule and confirm appointments for patients

Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries

Verify dental insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims

Collect payments, co-pays, and maintain billing records

Maintain patient files and update records in dental software systems

Coordinate with dentists and dental assistants to manage daily schedules

Handle patient paperwork, including medical history forms

Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy

Send appointment reminders via phone, text, or email

Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience in customer service or front desk work preferred

Knowledge of dental office software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) is a plus

Basic understanding of dental insurance and billing procedures

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Professional appearance and positive attitude
