This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment offers, start dates, and continued employment are dependent upon Resicum International LLC being awarded the contract and the successful transition of contract performance.
Resicum International LLC is seeking highly experienced Aircraft Mechanic III professionals to support organizational-level maintenance operations for VMFA-112 at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NAS JRB) Fort Worth, Texas.
This senior-level position performs, supervises, and inspects scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft across multiple variants while providing technical leadership to aircraft maintenance personnel. The successful candidate will troubleshoot complex aircraft discrepancies, lead maintenance teams, ensure compliance with NAVAIR maintenance procedures, and help maintain the highest levels of aircraft availability and mission readiness.

Position Summary
The Aircraft Mechanic III performs advanced organizational-level aircraft maintenance while serving as a senior technical leader responsible for supervising maintenance personnel and ensuring aircraft are maintained in accordance with approved technical publications, quality assurance standards, and established Navy maintenance procedures. This position supports mission readiness by performing complex maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and operational testing on F/A-18 aircraft across multiple variants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise scheduled and unscheduled organizational-level maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft across multiple variants.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to Aircraft Mechanic I and II personnel.
- Perform, supervise, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, modify, remove, install, and operationally test aircraft systems and components.
- Maintain aircraft airframe, flight control, powerplant, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, landing gear, mechanical systems, aircraft accessories, and associated support equipment.
- Perform scheduled inspections, phase inspections, corrosion control, aircraft servicing, and preventative maintenance in accordance with approved technical publications.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, flight control, powerplant, and limited electrical discrepancies using engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs), technical manuals, and manufacturer publications.
- Remove, replace, rig, align, adjust, modify, and operationally test aircraft components following maintenance actions.
- Conduct operational and functional checks to verify aircraft serviceability and mission readiness.
- Plan maintenance actions, establish repair priorities, and coordinate workloads to maximize aircraft availability and production efficiency.
- Perform structural repairs, aircraft modifications, and component replacements using approved repair procedures and engineering documentation.
- Utilize specialized aircraft maintenance tools and support equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, precision measuring instruments, and aircraft support equipment.
- Complete maintenance documentation, discrepancy reports, maintenance action forms, inspection records, and aircraft logbook entries accurately and in accordance with Navy maintenance documentation requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Production Control, Quality Assurance, engineering personnel, supply personnel, and Government representatives.
- Maintain strict compliance with NAVAIR maintenance procedures, Quality Assurance standards, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, Tool Control Program (TCP), environmental regulations, and OSHA safety requirements.
- Assist in training and developing junior maintenance personnel while fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, quality workmanship, and continuous process improvement.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders, aircraft maintenance stands, and elevated work platforms.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and around operating aircraft.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crawl, and work overhead for extended periods.
- Ability to safely operate aircraft maintenance support equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic test equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of aircraft maintenance experience, with significant experience supporting F/A-18 aircraft or other military tactical aircraft.
- Demonstrated experience performing aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, modification, and operational testing.
- Thorough knowledge of F/A-18 aircraft systems, NAVAIR maintenance procedures, technical publications, and organizational maintenance practices.
- Extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft airframe, flight control, powerplant, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, landing gear, and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs), maintenance manuals, and other approved technical publications.
- Proficiency utilizing aircraft maintenance support equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic test equipment, torque wrenches, cable tensiometers, dial indicators, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and specialized aircraft maintenance tools.
- Experience performing aircraft inspections, structural repairs, corrosion control, modifications, component replacement, rigging, alignment, operational testing, and aircraft servicing.
- Experience leading aircraft maintenance personnel and providing technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight during maintenance operations.
- Ability to plan maintenance actions, establish repair priorities, and coordinate workloads to meet aircraft production schedules and mission requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple maintenance priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, Tool Control Program (TCP), hazardous material handling, and OSHA safety requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required installation access credentials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps experience maintaining F/A-18A/B/C/D, F/A-18E/F, or EA-18G aircraft.
- Experience supporting Organizational (O-Level), Intermediate (I-Level), or Depot (D-Level) aircraft maintenance.
- Previous experience serving as a work center supervisor, shift lead, or team lead during military aircraft maintenance operations.
- Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), NAVAIR, or U.S. Department of Defense aviation maintenance contracts.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one, if required by the contract.
