Job Summary:

The General Laborer provides support throughout the fabrication shop by assisting with packing and shipping, operating basic machinery, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and completing various production-related tasks as needed. This entry-level position requires a dependable, safety-conscious individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and willing to assist wherever needed. All employees are expected to uphold all company policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Understands and accepts that an accident-free environment is not only possible but will be accomplished through strict adherence to all safety protocols and standards.

•Assist with packing, preparing, and loading finished products for shipment.

•Verify that materials and products are properly protected and labeled for shipping.

•Operate basic shop machinery and equipment after receiving appropriate training.

•Move materials, tools, and finished products throughout the facility.

•Clean and organize work areas, equipment, and common shop spaces.

•Remove scrap, trash, and other debris from production areas.

•Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

•Assist production departments as workload requires.

•Complete various general labor and shop-support tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

•Must be able to read and write English.

•Comfortable working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

•Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

•Willingness to learn basic equipment and shop processes.

•Dependable attendance and punctuality.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Strong attention to safety, quality, and housekeeping.

•Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

•Capability to lift heavy objects of 50 pounds or more.

•Requires working in a production setting with exposure to changing temperatures and noise levels.
