About Us: Since 2004, Mitchell’s British Automotive has been the premier independent alternative to the dealership for Jaguar and Land Rover owners in Los Angeles. We are a family-owned shop built on honesty, expert diagnostics, and a passion for British engineering. With over 75 years of combined experience in our bays, we pride ourselves on providing "dealer-level expertise" without the dealership ego.

We are looking for a professional, organized, and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our tight-knit team and help us continue providing the high-touch service our clients expect.

The Role: As the primary point of contact for our customers, you are the face of the shop. You aren’t just "selling repairs"—you are acting as a consultant for luxury vehicle owners, helping them understand their car’s needs and ensuring their experience is seamless from drop-off to pick-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Advocacy: Answer phones and emails promptly, providing clear information and professional repair quotes.
  • Service Coordination: Translate customer concerns into detailed repair orders for our technicians.
  • Workflow Management: Distribute work orders to the shop floor and track progress to ensure timely vehicle delivery.
  • Parts Procurement: Research and order necessary parts (OEM and high-quality alternatives) to keep jobs moving.
  • Consultative Communication: Clearly explain technical repairs to non-technical customers and manage any concerns with empathy and solutions.
  • Administrative Accuracy: Maintain precise records of vehicle history, billing, and parts invoicing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an Auto Service Advisor or Service Manager.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Experience with Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles is highly preferred but not required (we will train the right person on the nuances of these marques).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a "customer-first" attitude.
  • Tech-Savvy: Ability to learn our shop management software and parts cataloging systems quickly.
  • Reliability: We operate Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. We value punctuality and a strong work ethic.
