Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to create and adjust individualized treatment plans for clients.

• Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

• Engage in regular multidisciplinary team meetings to share insights and collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to the highest ethical standards in line with state regulations and organizational policies.

• Stay updated on current research and advancements in mental health practices through continuous professional development and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will provide outpatient counseling services primarily to adults facing a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and relationship difficulties. The diversity of our clients allows for enriching therapeutic encounters where you can apply your expertise and effectively tailor interventions to meet each client's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.

• A Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical or community health setting.

• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal requirements pertinent to mental health counseling.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals effectively.

• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other clinical software.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in specific areas such as trauma therapy, substance abuse recovery, or family and couples counseling is highly advantageous.

• Previous experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting.
