- Design, initiate, administer, and participate in cultural resource surveys and excavations.
- Consult with the Washington State Historic Preservation Officer, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, Tribes and the Department of Interior regarding the direction of the program.
- Prepare and/or review documentation on properties for nomination to the National Register of Historical Places
- Provide archeological expertise in locating, inventorying, evaluating, and protecting historic properties.
- Maintain records of compliance efforts including general information and specific information for each project.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Tier 1, Non-sensitive, Low Risk background is required throughout the appointment.
