Title: ASL Interpreter Location: Orlando, FL Contract: 12 Month Contract with potential extension Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship required Shift: Part Time, 4 days per week Pay: $45.00/hr - $60.00/hr on W2 Responsibilities Provide accurate and timely ASL interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing employees in a machine shop. Facilitate communication between employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Interpret meetings, training sessions, and other work‑related activities. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Collaborate with others to ensure seamless communication. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and standards. Requirements National certification as an ASL Interpreter (e.g., NIC, CI, or CT). 2+ years of experience as an ASL Interpreter in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Fluency in ASL and English. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, noisy environment with exposure to machinery and equipment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work a 4 days per week schedule. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a machine shop or similar industrial environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety protocols. Certification in specialized areas such as OSHA or industrial safety. Work Environment The ASL Interpreter will work in a machine shop environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and equipment.
