Advanced Electrical Engineer

We’re seeking an Advanced Electrical Engineer to take ownership of our next-generation High Voltage (HV) System. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll design, build, and lead the development of advanced electrical distribution systems for our fuel‑agnostic linear generator technology. Key Responsibilities Owning and leading the design of HV electrical systems, including schematics, wiring harnesses, power electronics, and control modules. Developing and testing prototypes in a lab environment—bringing concepts into working reality. Driving analysis, simulation, and validation of HV circuits using industry‑standard tools (MATLAB‑Simulink, PSPICE, LTSPICE). Collaborating across engineering disciplines to ensure electrical, thermal, and safety requirements are met. Partnering with suppliers for key components, ensuring compliance, manufacturability, and cost‑effectiveness. Contributing to safety‑critical documentation (FMEAs, DVP&Rs) and supporting certification efforts. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in a regulated design environment. Proven expertise in high‑voltage DC power distribution, batteries, motors, inverters, and PDUs. Hands‑on experience debugging and building HV prototypes. Skilled in electrical modeling, simulation, and system design. Familiarity with standards such as ISO 26262, UL, or MIL specifications. Collaborative problem‑solver with the ability to jump in quickly, learn fast, and deliver results. Bonus: Experience in EV systems architecture, BESS, or generator systems.
