This hands-on trainee role will teach you how to supervise offenders who were released on probation or parole to serve the remainder of their sentence in the community. This position focuses on learning how to supervise individuals on probation or parole as they work toward successful adjustment in the community. As a Parole Agent 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Field Operations: Utilize a state vehicle to meet with parolees where they live and work
• Community Outreach: Coordinate with parolees' employers, counselors, and family members to provide support and evaluate progress
• Treatment Planning: Develop and update supervision plans based on individual needs
• Case Guidance: Help parolees and probationers address personal challenges that affect their transition
• Agency Referrals: Refer individuals to programs that assist with employment, substance use, mental health, and other needs
• Court Participation: Provide testimony and information during court proceedings related to supervision and compliance

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work schedule and hours are to be determined. You will work holidays and weekends as required.
• You must be willing to travel.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
