Backend Architect Client: Qualis1 Inc. Location: Denver, CO Duration: 12 Months Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Backend Technical Architect with strong experience in system design, technical leadership, and delivery of scalable distributed systems. This role involves owning end-to-end architecture, driving technical decisions, and ensuring system performance, reliability, and scalability. 12+ years of experience (3+ in architecture) with deep expertise in Node.js/TypeScript, AWS, Kafka, and microservices architecture. Strong experience in performance optimization, DynamoDB, event-driven systems, and resilience patterns. Lead architecture design, mentor teams, define best practices, provide effort estimates, and resolve complex production issues.
