Mail Courier - CMH

Department/Unit: Materiel Mgt Administration. Work Shift: Per Diem (United States of America). Salary Range: $40,310.00 - $52,403.00; Min. $18.00/hr - Max $23.00/hr. Responsibilities Responsible for delivery of US mail, internal mail pouches and parcels to on and off campus locations. Sort correspondences into delivery vehicle to ensure timely delivery. Bring correspondence back to main campus and perform delivery to end user or mail room per protocol. Process mail via metered mailing machine, charging appropriate cost center number for mailings. Perform order fulfillment from warehouse inventory. Perform USPS pick-up: pick up from postal facility flats/bins and load into vehicle safely. Off-load mail bins off vehicle onto flatbed carts, move carts into mailroom, and line carts up in organized fashion. Drive straight truck (GVW 18,000) safely between main campus, off-site warehouse, and other locations; comply with NYSDOT, federal, state and local laws. Drive cargo vans (Mini or Transit) safely between main campus and off-site locations; comply with NYSDOT, federal, state and local laws. Perform detailed pick-up and delivery of outbound US mail, inner office mail, pouches and parcels to various customers on campus and off-site. Interact with customers from executive management to support staff professionally and meet their needs timely and efficiently. Staging/sorting of mail: physically separate mail so envelopes for each mail code are clustered together, attaching paperwork or rubber bands as necessary. On Campus mail delivery: stack mail onto delivery carts and deliver to internal customers. Perform 22NSA off-loading of mail and packages to ASA V; if filling in, handle floor-by-floor deliveries of inbound mail, pouches and packages, pick up outgoing mail and packages. Perform HIS run: pick up boxes from E-1 and bring boxes to the HIS record area in the basement of 22NSA. Provide help as directed by manager, supervisor or ISC in both inbound and outbound departments in 1275 Warehouse. Utilize handheld device to receive and put away product for inbound; fulfill, wrap and process paperwork through handheld for outbound. Outbound mail processing: sort and process outbound US mail by cost center number, following pre-sort and flat envelope protocol. Complete STAT requests under the direction of Mailroom ASA V or appointee. Prioritize and make delivery/pickup decisions with off-site location, AMC and patient care's best interest in absence of Mailroom ASA V, appointee, manager or supervisor.
