This contract role focuses on providing exceptional educational services district-wide near Salinas, working closely with learners who benefit from both individualized instruction and culturally responsive support. The immediate start means you'll quickly become an essential part of the educational journey for students through the end of the school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Active CTC licensure – Mild to Moderate required
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within K-12 settings
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Expertise with administering and interpreting portions of the WJV and WJIV assessments in Spanish
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators
• Excellent organizational, communication, and advocacy skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and implement IEPs aligned with each student's unique needs
• Administer Spanish-language components of the WJV and WJIV assessments
• Support a diverse caseload of K-12 students across the district
• Partner with general education teachers and staff to create inclusive classroom experiences
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking families to foster student success
