Make a difference./ph3Job Description/h3pUnder the direction of the office provider or licensed nurse of Fairfield Healthcare Professionals, the Medical Assistant will assist with preparing patients for exams, administering medications within the medical assistant scope of practice, assisting with procedures, and facilitating general communication with patients./pulliAccurately takes vital signs and gives injections as directed./liliPerforms all in-office testing as requested by provider./liliAssists with minor surgical procedures/wound care and dressing, and sterilization of instruments./liliHandles pharmacy-related requests/issues./liliCollects and inputs patient information into patients EMR using correct medical terminology./liliCompletes referrals, pre-certifications, and prior-authorizations./liliMonitors and orders supplies and medications./liliMaintains patient files./liliResponsible for financial cost related to obtaining certification and renewing of certification./liliResponsible for obtaining and maintaining certification./li/ulh3Job Qualifications/h3ulliHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. STNA preferred./liliMedical Assistant certification required or obtained within 12 months of hire./liliCurrent AAMA certification or current AAMA exam eligibility./liliPhlebotomy certification preferred./liliPrevious medical office experience preferred./li/ulpExerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly./p/div
