Sr. Network Engineer

Sr. Network Engineer – Government Services Full‑time direct hire. Must currently hold an active Secret or Public Trust Security Clearance or higher. No visa sponsorship, 1099, or C2C available. Location: Alexandria, VA (fully on‑site). Key Responsibilities Handle escalated network incidents requiring advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and root‑cause identification. Perform intermediate configuration and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure. Analyze recurring issues and recommend improvements to reduce incident volume. Assist in implementing network changes, upgrades, and optimizations under the guidance of senior engineers. Conduct deeper investigation of performance degradations, routing issues, and VLAN/subnet misconfigurations. Monitor and interpret network performance metrics to proactively detect problems. Review Tier1 escalations, provide guidance, and help train Tier1 staff in troubleshooting methodologies. Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, SOPs, and topology information. Collaborate with engineering teams on project tasks, migrations, or new technology deployments. Required Qualifications Secret clearance or Public Trust 8+ years of relevant network engineering or architecture experience CCNP, ITIL, or ITSM Possesses an industry‑recognized advanced networking certification Preferred Qualifications On‑site in Alexandria, VA $155,000 – $165,000 annually. Variable incentive compensation may be available.
