Assembler PositionThe Assembler at Cook Vandergrift is responsible for following procedures for product assembly/fabrication, cleaning, packaging, labeling, equipment operation and safety requirements as documented in the company's quality system.ResponsibilitiesRead, understand and follow specifications for product being manufacturedFabricate raw materials into specified products using various mechanical and/or manual techniquesPerform various inspections and/or testing as requiredAccurate completion of necessary documentationFollow all quality system documentsReport to work punctually and as scheduledPerform fine manipulative processes, using a microscope/micro forge, video screen, and/or other equipment for the majority of the day, seated and/or standing at a workstationPerform work in a Controlled Environment with special gowning/clothing and hygiene requirementsPerform various computer functionsPerform routine maintenance on certain machinery used in productionProvide training of production personnelAssist in introducing new or improved products into productionProvide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation and efficiencyIdentify and report possible preventative and corrective actionsQualificationsMust have a high school diploma or GEDMust pass a post-offer physical exam and drug screeningAbility to read, write and understand product documentation and specification drawingsHave the written skills to accurately complete paperworkAbility to use measuring devices and gaugesPerform basic math skills and applications including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division including the ability to understand decimalsBasic computer entry/retrieval skillsMust have well-developed eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity skillsQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
