Overview
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Newark, New York. Start date 08/17/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,199–$2,371 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour days (07:00–19:30). Setting: hospital-level acute care with obstetric and newborn care responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive RN care for obstetric patients across triage, labor, immediate vaginal recovery, postpartum, and newborn care within LDRP/NN nursery settings; perform newborn assessments and resuscitation as needed
- Monitor fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring; recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart tracings
- Scrub, circulate, and assist in vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections; participate in C-section PACU care and newborn resuscitation
- Manage postpartum complications, including postpartum hemorrhage and preeclampsia; administer magnesium sulfate and other therapies per protocol
- Initiate IV access, operate infusion pumps/drips, provide epidural care and analgesia as ordered
- Document in EPIC; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Interpretation Services) and unit support staff

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand (NY (NYC) nursing license in hand required to submit)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
- Minimum 1 year acute hospital RN experience
- Required clinical experience: LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum) and Newborn Nursery; antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
- EPIC charting experience
- Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts, rotating weekends every other weekend, and on-call as required
- Travel status: First-time travelers accepted
