That's Perdue.\n\n\nSummary\nKeep our operations moving across the region as a key part of our transportation team. As a Regional Driver, you will operate a tractor-trailer to safely and efficiently pick up and deliver freight between company and customer locations, supporting drop-and-hook and live load/unload operations. You will play a critical role in maintaining reliable delivery schedules while upholding all DOT regulations and company standards. This role is ideal for a safety-focused, dependable professional who takes pride in representing the Perdue Farms brand on the road and is comfortable traveling away from home for extended periods to help keep our supply chain running strong.\n\n \n This position is a piece rate position and is paid$0.85 per mile completed, guaranteedminimum wagelaws apply. Annual bonus (variable depending on performance)as well asovertime may be available.\n \n\n\n In addition to wages, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off. \n\n\nPrincipal Essential Duties & Responsibilities\n\n Maneuver and deliver/backhaul truckloads of product and materials to plants, customers, and distributors as assigned.\n Observe and maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements regarding hours of service, logbook, vehicle inspections, load inspections, and securing load.\n To include utilizing electronic logging device (paper logs when needed), on board vehicle tracking system in efficient manner.\n Operate a tractor and trailer in a legal/safe manner consistent with all Federal, State and Local laws, regulations, and Company policies.\n To include the utilization of all on board safety features.\n Complete and submit all Company paperwork to include but not limited to manifest, bill of lading, proof of delivery pay envelopes, overage, shortage, damaged claims, and trip reports.\n As assigned, the physical process of loading and unloading of products may be required.\n Responsible for seal/ security (trailer locked) integrity and the reporting of an accurate /verified case count and condition of product during deliveries.\n Perdue Transportation may require the driver to transport a load that is not in the driver’s normal scope, i.e. location, schedule, or customer to meet business needs.\n\n\nMinimum Education and Experience\n\n High School Graduate or GED\n Minimum Two years over the road Tractor/Trailer driving experience with refrigerated trailers preferred.\n Valid Class A CDL License.\n\n\nPreferred Education and Experience\n\n Strong communication skills.\n\n\nPhysical Requirements and Environmental Factors\n\n Able to drive a tractor with a trailer.\n Able to remain seated for extended periods of time up to the limits established by DOT regulations.\n Able to sleep while another driver drives.\n Able to withstand bouncing and vibration from truck and road conditions.\n Able to lift boxes up to 40 pounds to load/unload products.\n Exposed to fuel and oil.\n Exposed to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0-100%) and noise (50db to 100db).\n Required to travel to customers, distributors, plant facilities and other remote locations.\n\n\n\nPerdue Farms Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
