Medical Equipment Sales | Central California Territory

Manage your own schedule and time! Seeking a motivated and independent Territory Sales Consultant to manage and grow an established Central California territory. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining current strong customer relationships, and driving sales of capital medical equipment to hospitals, surgery centers, imaging centers and healthcare facilities. This territory includes a strong existing customer base, active opportunities, and established relationships with leading healthcare facilities throughout the region. The role offers the opportunity to manage a mature territory while continuing to drive growth through new business development and exceptional customer service. The territory is centered in the Fresno and Madera area, with coverage extending throughout Central California, including portions of the Central Coast and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a field-based environment, enjoy building long-term relationships, and be comfortable managing a large geographic territory independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, surgery centers, physicians, and clinical stakeholders.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities while growing existing accounts.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for clinical and executive-level decision makers.
• Manage a long sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
• Identify key decision makers
• Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturer partners to support customer needs and project implementation.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately document activities in CRM systems.
• Develop a strategic territory plan and prioritize activities to maximize opportunities and customer engagement.
• Attend industry training programs, sales meetings, and manufacturer-sponsored education events.
• Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance objectives.

Territory & Travel

• Primary focus is the Fresno/Madera market.
• Territory goes north towards Turlock, south towards Bakersfield region, and portions of California's Central Coast.
• Occasional regional travel is required.
• Overnight travel should be expected as needed to effectively manage customer visits, installations, trainings, and territory development.
• Candidates must be comfortable spending the majority of their workweek in the field, along with working out of their home office.

Required Qualifications

• Proven success in outside sales, business development, healthcare sales, medical device sales, capital equipment sales, or a related field.
• Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders ranging from department staff to hospital executives and C-suite leaders.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a large territory with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling medical devices, healthcare technology, surgical equipment, operating room equipment, or other capital equipment.
• Experience working within hospital environments and understanding healthcare purchasing processes.
• Familiarity with long-cycle consultative sales environments.
• Experience supporting equipment installations, project planning, or clinical product demonstrations.
