Key Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for pediatric patients and their families
• Deliver comprehensive nursing services with a focus on compassionate patient and family interaction, including care of critically ill children
• Demonstrate comfort with pediatric resuscitation and management of acutely ill pediatric patients
• Maintain excellent documentation skills in accordance with department and facility standards
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams as needed to support individualized patient outcomes
• Float to other areas of the organization up to competency level based on departmental needs, including weekends, holidays, and some call shifts

• Active Nevada RN license required prior to start
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• ENPC certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum two years of experience in a Pediatric Emergency Room setting

• Experience caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in addition to pediatric populations
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills in high-acuity emergency environments
• Familiarity with trauma center workflows and high-volume emergency department operations
