Locum Pharmacist – San Luis Obispo, CA

08/17/2026 – 10/11/2026 | Up to $96/hour | Full-Time

Adventist Health Sierra Vista is seeking a Locum Pharmacist for a full-time inpatient assignment. This is an auto-offer opportunity for qualified candidates with current Epic experience.

Position Details:

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA
Assignment: 08/17/2026 – 10/11/2026
Schedule: Rotating Shift, 4x10s
Compensation: Up to $96/hour
Setting: Acute care hospital
EMR: Current Epic experience required

Requirements:

Active California Pharmacist license
Current Epic experience required
Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Must pass IV training
Experience with pediatric and neonatal patient populations required
PharmD preferred

Responsibilities:

Verify and dispense medication orders
Monitor medication therapies for safety and effectiveness
Provide clinical pharmacy support and drug information
Identify and resolve medication-related issues
Participate in clinical rounds, medication management, and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to optimize patient care

Closing pharmacist participates in overnight on-call rotation until the pharmacy reopens
Weekend coverage required (up to every other weekend)
