Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound examinations, including OB, with GE ultrasound equipment; acquire and optimize images; document findings clearly.
- Enter and communicate results in the electronic medical record; coordinate with radiologists for preliminary interpretation as required.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort through proper positioning, preparation, patient shielding, and infection control practices.
- Maintain equipment and room readiness; verify patient identifiers and procedural consent; adhere to established protocols and privacy guidelines.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR for charting, orders, and image storage; participate in shift handoffs and intra-team communication.
- Operate within no-call requirements; collaborate with team members across the night shift to maintain timely imaging services.

Requirements
- Active nursing license per the state of assignment (CA) or as required by the setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least two years of recent ultrasound experience in the field.
- Proficiency with GE ultrasound equipment.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- Ability to perform all general ultrasound studies, including OB; must be able to work the weekend/night schedule described.
