We pride ourselves in serving the world by making food people love!What We Have to Offer15 days (120 hours) of vacation annually and 11 paid holidaysOpportunity to earn 12 additional Paid Days OffGreat paid time off benefits401(k) matchHealth Insurance- Including medical, vision, dental and lifeAnd much more!Your Work Schedule and Shift InformationCurrently Hiring 2nd and 3rd shift8-hour shifts2nd: 2:50pm to 11:20pm3rd: 10:50pm – 7:20amAbility and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency eventsPlant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per weekKey AccountabilitiesAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:Adhering to plant safety measures including LOTO and total energy isolation in a clean, climate controlled, and stress-free work environmentReading and updating electrical and control schematics, piping and instrumentation diagramsProviding technical support/skills for equipment troubleshooting and controls/equipment modificationsPerforming uptime and downtime, preventative electrical maintenanceUnderstanding, initiating, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why, Breakdown Elimination)Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceAssist in training new employeesMinimum QualificationsMinimum of a high school education or GEDTech school diploma and 2 years of experience in related field or equivalent experience in a related field preferred (familiarity with Rockwell and Allen Bradley components)Electrical/ Controls experience may include plant power distribution, plant equipment controls and plant electrical supportLicensed Journeyman preferredExperience in a manufacturing/production environment preferredMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English).Must be able to lift up-to 50lbsMust be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfacesAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when requiredWilling and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environmentAbility to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditionsWilling to work around industrial high-speed moving machineryAbility to work with allergens that might be present in a food environmentNeed to be able to work in a tobacco free environmentGood understanding of electrical safety (low & high voltage), including arc flash trainingAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, and occasionally update themMust possess' advance knowledge of PLC's, SLC's, Logix 5000, as well as accompanying hardware componentsAbility to troubleshoot and repair issues with drives, sensors, measuring devices, and motorEligibilityApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
