Portfolio Manager – Commercial Real Estate (CRE)

We are seeking motivated Portfolio Managers to support a growing Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending platform. Opportunities are available for professionals ranging from junior-level analysts to experienced senior portfolio managers.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong commercial credit, underwriting, and portfolio management experience who enjoy working on complex CRE transactions across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Underwriting & Deal Support

• Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and underwriting packages for commercial real estate loans
• Analyze borrower financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements, cash flow, and collateral performance
• Support new loan originations, renewals, and modifications
• Assist with credit approval packages, loan structuring, covenant analysis, and risk assessments
• Review appraisals, market data, and deal-specific due diligence
• Participate in deal team and client meetings alongside Relationship Managers

Portfolio Management & Risk Monitoring

• Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging credit risks or negative trends
• Perform covenant compliance testing and annual portfolio reviews
• Track construction progress, loan maturities, renewals, overdrafts, and past due activity
• Maintain accurate risk ratings, loan coding, and portfolio documentation
• Partner with lending and credit teams to proactively manage portfolio quality

Asset Class Exposure

Experience with one or more of the following CRE property types is preferred:

• Multifamily
• Office
• Retail
• Industrial
• Hospitality/Lodging
• Senior Living / Assisted Living Facilities (ALF)

Qualifications

Junior Level

• 1–3 years of commercial banking, underwriting, or credit analysis experience
• Strong financial analysis and Excel skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred

Mid-Level

• 4–7 years of commercial real estate underwriting or portfolio management experience
• Experience managing CRE credit relationships and preparing credit approval packages
• Strong understanding of loan structures, risk ratings, and portfolio monitoring

Senior Level

• 7+ years of CRE portfolio management and underwriting experience
• Ability to manage complex transactions and larger portfolios independently
• Advanced understanding of credit risk, loan structuring, and portfolio strategy

Technical Skills

• Commercial real estate underwriting
• Financial statement and cash flow analysis
• Covenant monitoring and risk assessment
• Credit approval documentation
• Microsoft Excel and financial spreading software
