Pipefitter / Fabricator

Position Summary

A South Jersey company is seeking an experienced Pipefitter/Fabricator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both shop fabrication and field installation , with the ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and CAD-generated drawings. Candidates with experience working with various pipe materials are encouraged to apply; specific material experience is not required as long as the candidate has strong pipefitting fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Perform pipe fabrication and field installation for industrial projects.
Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and CAD-generated drawings.
Lay out, fit, assemble, and install piping systems according to project specifications.
Measure, cut, bevel, and prepare pipe for fabrication and installation.
Verify dimensions and ensure proper alignment and fit-up of piping components.
Work closely with welders, project managers, and field personnel to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Maintain compliance with company safety policies and industry standards.
Troubleshoot installation issues and make field adjustments as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Pipefitter, Fabricator, or similar industrial trade.
Strong ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and construction blueprints.
Experience reviewing and working from CAD drawings.
Knowledge of piping systems, layouts, and installation practices.
Ability to use standard pipefitting tools and measuring equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work in both shop and field environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Welding experience is a plus, but not required .
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, power generation, food processing, or similar environments.
Familiarity with a wide range of piping materials, though experience with a specific material type is not required.
