We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Florida state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• One year experience as an RRT with ventilator management experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Experience with Servo and Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators preferred.
• Ability to perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling from arterial lines and sticks.
• BLS certification required.
• Critical care skills and good patient assessment skills required.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift name: Nights.
• Shift details: Nights 1900-0700.
• Typical unit census: Approximately 286–290 beds across the hospital.
• Night shift staffing: Typically 4 therapists on night shift; day shift staffing and supervisor coverage noted for reference.
• Float requirement: Candidates may be required to float to an affiliated psych/rehab campus as part of the assignment.
