Registered Nurse - Surgical Trauma Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 12 hours, 3 days per week. Must be willing to work given shifts; no block scheduling available.

Job Description

Join our high-acuity Surgical Trauma Unit where you will provide critical care to patients with complex surgical needs, including gunshot wounds and those with paralysis. You will be part of a dedicated team working in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 5:1.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for surgical trauma patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and document patient progress using EPIC.
• Participate in nurse handoff with ED nurse and admitting unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical or trauma nursing specialty.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Active RN license in the relevant state.
