Position:          Packaging Machine Operator

Client:             Leading Building Materials and Roofing Manufacturing Company

Duration:         1 – Year Contract (Temp to Hire)

Location:         Mount Vernon. Ohio 43050

Shift:               Night Shift – 12-Hours Rotating Shift (6.00 pm to 6.00 am)

Job Description:

The Packaging Operator I role is the entry level role at the Mt. Vernon facility.
This role is responsible for packaging, cleaning, and relieving for breaks. This role will primarily work in the production area.

Job Responsibilities:

·        Spotting out-bound trucks into material load docks, ensuring dock-locks

·        Reclaiming off-quality Unbonded Loose fill and refeeding the material to the forehearth

·        Packaging operator placing bags on bagger equipment snouts ensuring proper packaging of finished goods material

·        Performs general cleanup duties in designated areas (including, but not limited to, sweeping floor, blowing down the line/robot, cleaning break rooms, etc.).

·        Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes

·        Perform special needs as determined by plant staff

·        Participates in safety and housekeeping programs as established within the plant.

Preferred Experience:

·        1 – 3 years manufacturing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·        Must be able to read, write, and speak English

·        Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions

·        Must possess strong communication and organizational skills

·        Must have the ability to multi-task

·        Must have strong internal and external customer service skills

·        Must work well in team environment

·        Must be able to work independently

·        Must have to ability to do intermediate mathematical calculations
