Position Overview Department: Outpatient Physical Therapy Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 8 hours, Monday to Friday Facility: Orthopedic Center Location: Auburn, ME 04210 Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000! Position Highlights Outpatient setting within a hospital environment. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system integrated with all healthcare providers in the region. Practice hours are weekdays from 7 AM to 5:30 PM. Focus on personalized patient care. One-on-one therapy sessions. No double bookings or overlapping appointments. Schedule driven by therapists. Our organization is an integrated healthcare system serving around 400,000 residents in central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of over 40 primary and specialty care locations. This includes a regional referral hospital with specialized services such as a Cancer Care Center and an orthopedic surgery center. Additionally, we support the only medical helicopter service in the state. We also operate two critical access hospitals that provide vital healthcare services to rural communities in Maine. Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist, you will provide medically prescribed therapy services aimed at evaluating, treating, and restoring function, enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities. Your care will be patient-centered, adhering to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices. Conduct patient evaluations and physical therapy assessments. Create and implement tailored treatment plans. Deliver therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation and functional enhancement. Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and recovery objectives. Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and patient safety standards. Qualifications Education, Experience, and Training: A Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate, or Certificate in Physical Therapy. A valid state Physical Therapy license. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from AHA upon hire, with maintenance of certification required.
