NURSE PRACTITIONER / PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT LOCUM OPPORTUNITY

• Opportunity for qualified candidates with an active, unrestricted Michigan license

Education

• NP candidates must graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

• PA candidates must graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• New graduates are accepted.

Licensure

• Active, unrestricted Michigan license

• Michigan Controlled Substance license registration

• DEA registration with a Michigan address

• Prescriptive authority

Board Certification

• NPs must hold active AANP or ANCC certification.

• PAs must hold active NCCPA certification.

• FNP certification preferred for NP candidates.

Required Certification

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.

• Current-year influenza vaccination

• MMR: Two-step vaccine series or positive immunity titer

• Varicella: Two vaccinations or positive immunity titer

• Hepatitis B: Two vaccinations or positive immunity documentation/titer

• Tdap or TD vaccination documentation, or signed declination form

• TB screening via two-step skin test or QuantiFERON completed within 60 days of the first shift date

• Chest X-ray clearance required for positive TB screening

• Two years of case, encounter, or procedure logs in Excel or summary format, including CPT codes

• Medical Director approval required for Delineation of Privileges.

• In-person hospital orientation is required before privilege approval.

• $1 million per occurrence / $3 million aggregate
