Specialty: Echo Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are looking for an Echocardiogram Technologist (Echo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Madera, CA. The right Echo Tech must have 1 year of experience and hold BLS, ARDMS‑RDCS, or CCI‑RS national certification, along with state‑specific licensing when required. Responsibilities Educate patients and/or patient’s family regarding procedures performed Demonstrate competence in the performance of echocardiographic studies Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler examinations Acquire quality stress echo and dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards Perform quality trans‑esophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images Report findings or concerns to the reading physician for prompt interpretation Perform all related processing required for each completed study Maintain equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and reporting issues appropriately Maintain accurate patient records Understand and use the McKesson PACS system Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist BLS, ARDMS‑RDCS or CCI‑RS national certification State‑specific licensing when required Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology TotalMed Allied Job ID #1423893.
