What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors shoppers and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors entrances exits parking areas and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points observe customer and employee activity and report suspicious behavior policy violations hazards and/or maintenance issues according to site expectations.
• Support loss prevention and other retail operations by providing a visible presence assisting with crowd flow during busy periods and following post orders for after-hours checks and opening and/or closing activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
