BK Medical is a dedicated outpatient mental health facility located in Crown Heights of Brooklyn NY. We specialize in providing comprehensive outpatient care that addresses both substance abuse and mental health treatment.
Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our medical staff by providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various clinical tasks. Your contributions will be essential in helping our patients achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Triage patients / taking vital signs
- Administer medications as prescribed and take labs
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide excellent patient service, addressing any questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Support the overall operations of the medical center by ensuring cleanliness and organization of clinical areas.
- Insurance verifications
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- All front-end tasks included but not limited to what is written above.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Experience as a medical assistant in the field for a minimum of 5 years
- Pass background check
- Strong knowledge as a medical assistant.
- Experience in patient care or a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
