Mammography Technologist

Mammography TechnologistEnsure that the evaluation of mammography procedures are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive and reliable. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.-Performs routine mammography as well as bone density scans and biopsy procedures as requested by referring staff.-Demonstrates adequate radiation safety practices as it relates to both patients as well as co-workers.-Provides patient education as required.-Maintains the required number of CEU to maintain mammography certification.-Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists and other department customers to ensure efficient operations.-Participates in all Radiology Management System functions as they relate to patient procedures.-Adheres to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods and procedures while performing mammography and bone density procedures.-Performs other related duties as required.
