We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced LVT to join our team! Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you.ResponsibilitiesTriage pets as they arrive at the clinicInterview pet owners to obtain a patient historyTake vital signs and acquire blood samplesCalculate drug dosages per veterinarian instruction and assist with surgeries and monitoring animals during surgical proceduresAdeptly perform procedures including catheterization, intubation, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, dental prophylaxis, and digital radiographsAdminister medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clientsKeep accurate patient recordsQualificationsAt least 2 years of previous experience as a Veterinary Technician is requiredLVT licensure is requiredCPR trained and certifiedKnowledge of animal care and handlingTeam player with excellent written and communication skillsAbility to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environmentPatience, compassion, and a love for animalsFear-free training and experience is desired
